Who We Support
Who We Fund
The Patricia and Paul Bragg Foundation provides grants to public 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in Santa Barbara County that are aligned with the Foundation’s mission to improve the lives of people, animals and the planet.
Organizations
We support nonprofit organizations of all sizes and stages of development, prioritizing those demonstrating strong organizational leadership and effective programs.
COVID-19
In 2022, the Foundation will prioritize organizations responding to and recovering from COVID-19, with the goal of supporting our local nonprofit organizations as they serve those most in need of help, as well as working to support the resilience of the nonprofit sector itself.
Geography
The Foundation is largely focused on Santa Barbara County and will prioritize organizations headquartered in the County. In some circumstances, the Foundation may provide grants to organizations working more broadly along California’s Central Coast or based elsewhere but providing significant and locally-informed services in the region.
Application Process
As a new Foundation, we gave our very first grants at the end of 2020 and are now working to further build out our own grantmaking capacity and funding strategies. We are thus currently unable to accept unsolicited applications and are employing an invitation-only process.
PAST GIVING & PRODUCT DONATIONS
With the formation of the new Patricia and Paul Bragg Foundation, the separate and distinct Bragg Health Foundation is in the process of being dissolved. We are deeply grateful for the past funding relationships developed by the Bragg Health Foundation. However, as we take the opportunity to formulate the new Foundation's goals and priorities, we are unfortunately unable to continue the funding history of the previous foundation. If you are inquiring about product donations, since Patricia no longer owns Bragg Live Foods she is no longer able to donate Bragg products. For more information about Bragg Live Foods, click here.
